About Us
We are FRC team 1836 from Milken Community High School in Los Angeles. Our team was founded in 2006 and this is our fifth year competing in FIRST robotics. We are a part of and receive funding from the Mitchell Academy of Science and Technology at Milken Community High School; additionally we receive funding from the Leslie Sheldon Zola Science Scholarship Fund and the media studies department. This year we are making history by being one of the first American teams to compete in the Israeli FIRST robotics competition regional. After competing in Israel we will compete in Los Angeles.
Our team is unique because of the fact that we are entirely student run, mentors are allowed to suggest ideas however they never have the final say (see our leadership list). We also mentor and run a lego robotics team at our middle school. To find out more about us please see our team news, view pictures from our current build season, or read about our current community involvement. See this page if you want to contact us.
